About Us

Southern, California, United States
My sister and I are "Annie Louise". We live in sunny Southern California. Ever since we were kids our mom would take us to estate sale and garage sales. So I guess it is only natural that we still both love to go to garage sales, flea markets and thrift stores--- nothing more exciting than the thrill of the hunt and the find!! Our style is a cross between rustic, shabby chic and beachy. We are both new to blogging, but have decided to start our own blog. We hope you find this blog interesting and come back to visit often. Thanks for visiting, Jackie and Jeanette

Trying my hand at a new project

It has been raining hard here in "sunny" California, so I am not able to do any outdoor painting projects.  I thought this would be a perfect day to attempt some indoor projects I have wanted to try.  So I transformed by bedroom into my craft room and whipped up these wreaths.  I also made the rosettes that I have seen on so many blogs, but never could get mine to turn out, but today all the stars must have been aligned because I love how the rosettes and the wreaths turned out.  I tried to keep them rather natural looking so I left some strings hanging on them.  I also stamped "Paris" and "Bonjour" on the material I used for hangers.  I had a blast doing them.

I also attempted to make a burlap wreath, but it did not turn out well at all (it actually makes me laugh when I look at it)  so no post of the burlap wreath.  I will see if I can play around with it and then maybe I will post pictures of it.  I think that is it for crafting for today.  I now have to clean (if you have ever worked with burlap -- you know what I am talking about) my craft room and transform it back into my bedroom.

I am linking up with Faded Charm, White Wednesday--check it out for amazing white creations, and pictures.  http://fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com/ and transformation Thursday at http://www.theshabbychiccottage.net/

Blessings to all,
Jeanette
