About Us

My sister and I are "Annie Louise". We live in sunny Southern California. Ever since we were kids our mom would take us to estate sale and garage sales. So I guess it is only natural that we still both love to go to garage sales, flea markets and thrift stores--- nothing more exciting than the thrill of the hunt and the find!! Our style is a cross between rustic, shabby chic and beachy. We are both new to blogging, but have decided to start our own blog. We hope you find this blog interesting and come back to visit often. Thanks for visiting, Jackie and Jeanette

Shabby White Wreaths and a beautiful white cake

Hi Everyone,
Jackie made a beautiful white cake from a receipe in the new Victoria magazine.  (Sorry someone got rid of the magazine before she could copy the receipe.)
I have been busy making more wreaths, (I am on a real wreath kick lately)

For this wreath I used a small wooden circle, wrapped it in some white scrap fabric, then glued on some pale pink and clear marbles (the kind with one flat side)

For this wreath, I decided to tackle making a coffee filter wreath, that I have seen on so many blogs lately.

I again wrapped some scrap fabric around the styrofoam wreath, and then started gluing, and gluing, and gluing, and gluing, and gluing, you get the idea, coffee filters around, and around.

Until, viola, a wonderful shabby, chic white wreath.

Hop on over to Faded Charm to view other white Wednesday goodies.
Blessings to you all,

  1. That cake looks delicious! I haven't tried the coffee filter wreath yet...on my list. Yours turned out great!

  2. Love your whites today!! That cake looks devine, and I love that coffee filter wreath. Would love to see you sometime at my weekend linky party!

  3. Very excellent turnout on the wreath! Wow! I've been eyeing them too -so glad you did this and showed us. Now, may I have some of that delicious cake? :))

  4. Hi Jeanette,
Your wreaths turned out very pretty. I love how you used everyday things to make them. I've seen the one made out of coffee filters around blog land too...I've been thinking of making one for myself too...Maybe soon. Thanks for sharing. Happy White Wednesday.
