Hi fellow bloggers,
My sister and I are off to garage sales and then thrift stores. On Sunday we are going to a Flea Market, the Grove at Irvine Valley College--to shop, not to sell. Love that flea market not to big (just big enough), free admission and lots and lots of eye candy. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, filled with great memories and wonderful treasures.

About Us
- Annie Louise
- Southern, California, United States
- My sister and I are "Annie Louise". We live in sunny Southern California. Ever since we were kids our mom would take us to estate sale and garage sales. So I guess it is only natural that we still both love to go to garage sales, flea markets and thrift stores--- nothing more exciting than the thrill of the hunt and the find!! Our style is a cross between rustic, shabby chic and beachy. We are both new to blogging, but have decided to start our own blog. We hope you find this blog interesting and come back to visit often. Thanks for visiting, Jackie and Jeanette

Blueberry Muffins
We found a yummy recipe for wonderful blueberry muffins! They were marvelous. The entire family really enjoyed them.

Jackie took some to her workplace where they also gobbled them up. Here is the recipe if you wish to make some-(we are not sure if we got this recipe off a blog, so if this is your recipe—thank you and so sorry we can’t give you the credit you are due, especially since the muffins are sooooooo yummy)
INGREDIENTS:
1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
¾ cup white sugar
½ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1/3 cup milk
1 cup fresh blueberries
½ cup white sugar
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup butter, cubed
1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease muffin cups or line with muffin liners.
2. Combine 1 ½ cups flour, ¾ cup sugar, salt and baking powder. Please vegetable oil into a 1 cup measuring cup; add the egg and enough milk to fill the cup. Mix this with flour mixture. Fold in blueberries. Fill muffin cups right to the top, and sprinkle with crumb topping mixture.
3. TO MAKE CRUMB TOPPING: Mix together ½ cup sugar, 1/3 cup flour, ¼ cup butter and 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon. Mix with fork, and sprinkle over muffins before baking.
4. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until done.
Enjoy!

a little transformation
Here is a before picture of a cute little
stool we found at a thrift store. The green
paint was not bad; however, the pink
seat cover was stained and extremely faded. So all we did is dig around are stash of fabric, and…presto-a cute clean little stool.
Love easy projects like this.
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your day!

Jamestown Flea Market
Hi everybody, Jackie and I had a great time selling at the flea market on Sunday. We were selling things left and right. Soon after the market opened we sold a bundle of stuff. By the time we could really start arranging our spot to look pretty, we were exhausted and sat for a spell, and noticed how empty looking our booth already was. As a matter of fact, we had a line waiting to get into our little ole" spot--never in a million years did we think we would every have a line! Thanks everyone for coming out, we had a great time visiting with you all. Jackie and I truly feel blessed by not just your purchases, but all the wonderful comments you made and the friendship we are making. Thank you so much :)
We were so busy we did not get a chance to take any pictures before most goodies were gone (we guess thats a pretty good delima to have). Hope you all had a good weekend and your week to follow is filled with many wonderful and great things.

Table Transformation
We bought this cute wicker table at a thrift store it even has wheels for easy maneuvering. It was white and peeling. Out came the spray paint. We painted the table gray and spray-painted the drawer pull white and ta da. Sorry I forgot to take a completely before picture (to anxious to get started) so here it is in the middle of the transformation.

And after

As much as we hate too, we are going to be selling it at the Jamestown Flea Market in Tustin this Sunday, July 25—we just have absolutely no room in our house for it--I know, I know, we cannot keep everything. Have a wonderful day.

More tomato news
First off, a huge thank you to my niece, Madison (Jackie’s daughter) for helping us learn how to include pictures with our post. Believe me we could not have done it without her. (I’m sure we will be asking how exactly to do it a few more times)

We also wanted to share with you another creation using many of our varieties of tomatoes that we have grown. We also grow basil, parsley, and other various herbs.

We used the basil on the homemade bruschetta and included some parsley in the tomato salad pictured below. The tomato salad is very simple, mozzarella cheese, oil, red wine vinegar, shallots, tomatoes,
and parsley-- That’s it.

We purchased this box at a thrift store
and after drilling some drainage holes in it, we had the start of another herb garden.
Hope you all are having a great day!!

From the garden
Friday, July 16, 2010
Ok, so I added a picture to the top of our blog (I am not really sure how I did that:). Anyhow, the picture above gives a hint as to the color and surroundings my sister and I like. Whites, grays, silver, and light blue/gray. We find great comfort in our Lord Jesus Christ (note the crosses). We have taken more pictures of some wonderful blueberry muffins we whipped up, tomatoes from our garden and before/after painted furniture. We just need to find some time to get with my neice and/or nephew (my sister's kids) to show to us how to get the pictures from the camera onto our blog. Have a wonderful day.

Hello--Introduction--First Blog Post
Well here we go, my sister and I have decided to start our own blog. We have also just started selling our wares at the Jamestown Flea Market in Tustin, California and the Orange Flea Market in Orange, California. Our lives are always exciting and it seems we are constantly running here and there. We are not sure how to post pictures, so that will be our next goal. Have a great day--
