About Us

My photo
Southern, California, United States
My sister and I are "Annie Louise". We live in sunny Southern California. Ever since we were kids our mom would take us to estate sale and garage sales. So I guess it is only natural that we still both love to go to garage sales, flea markets and thrift stores--- nothing more exciting than the thrill of the hunt and the find!! Our style is a cross between rustic, shabby chic and beachy. We are both new to blogging, but have decided to start our own blog. We hope you find this blog interesting and come back to visit often. Thanks for visiting, Jackie and Jeanette

Information on a Peddler's Market

Hi Everyone,
This is a quick post, no pictures, to let you all know that Jackie and I will be selling at a Peddler's Market at Piecemakers, on Saturday, February 5 from 8am to 3pm.  Piecemakers is located at 1720 Adams Avenue, Costa Mesa, CA 92626.  The description of the Peddler's Market says "Artisans with handmade treasure, plus huge garage sale and more.  Free admission.  Jackie and I have never sold here before, and I do not believe that this is a monthly market (I think it is held like perhaps twice a year-I'm not sure).  Anywho, we would love to see and chat with you all.  Jackie and I have been busy shopping, so we have quite a few new treasures.  Hope you can make it.
Have a great weekend!!

White Goodness

Hi,
Hope everyoone is having a wonderful week!

I love making these handmade clay roses

The first picture shows a styrofoam wreath, however, for the wreath below I used a wood shape circle, painted it white and then added my clay roses.

I painted this cute, but brown bird cage, white and had an instant business card holder.

I am linking up with Faded Charm White Wednesday http://fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com/  and Transformation Thursday at The Shabby Chic Cottage http://www.theshabbychiccottage.net/ .
Have a great week

Great Day at the Jamestown Flea Market in Tustin, CA

Hi Everyone,
Jackie and I feel so blessed for all the people that came into our space today at the Jamestown Flea Market.  Everyone was so nice, lots of positive comments and lots of purchases (thank goodness) :).  We were so busy, I was not able to take pictures of our space until late in the day (not that I am complaining).  Below are a few pictures of our wiped out spot.   The weather was great, the wind that we were all worried about, did not really materialize,  just a few gusts in the morning, nothing we could not handle and then calm and beautiful blue, sunny skies prevailed.

Once again, a big Thank You to all our wonderful visitors at the flea market.  Wishing everyone a great week ahead--blessings,
Jeanette and Jackie

Organized transformation

Hi,
My bedroom/craftroom was getting a little overwhelming, stuff everywhere, soooooo
I went to Michaels and purchased one of their scrapbooking storage racks and

finally a tad bit more organized, isn't it pretty.  I really do not like not having stuff everywhere, I need some organization before I can feel creative.  So I have taken one small step at becoming more organized, I feel better but still have a long ways to go.  A very special thanks to The Shabby Chic Cottage for hosting transforamtion Thursday.  Check the site out for some amazing transformations -- http://www.theshabbychiccottage.net/

Hope you are all having a great Thursday.

Thanks for stopping by,
Jeanette

Shabby White Wreaths and a beautiful white cake

Hi Everyone,
Jackie made a beautiful white cake from a receipe in the new Victoria magazine.  (Sorry someone got rid of the magazine before she could copy the receipe.)
I have been busy making more wreaths, (I am on a real wreath kick lately)

For this wreath I used a small wooden circle, wrapped it in some white scrap fabric, then glued on some pale pink and clear marbles (the kind with one flat side)

.
For this wreath, I decided to tackle making a coffee filter wreath, that I have seen on so many blogs lately.

I again wrapped some scrap fabric around the styrofoam wreath, and then started gluing, and gluing, and gluing, and gluing, and gluing, you get the idea, coffee filters around, and around.

Until, viola, a wonderful shabby, chic white wreath.

Hop on over to Faded Charm to view other white Wednesday goodies.
Blessings to you all,
Jeanette

Transformed Box

Hi All,
I picked up this plain (unpainted box) at a thrift store.  After some coats of white paint, I added some jewels and some of my handmade clay roses to the lid.

I am pleased as punch at how it turned out.

Head on over to The Shabby Chic Cottage http://www.theshabbychiccottage.net/ to see other transformations.  Have a great Thursday.

Hi just a few pictures of wonderful white goodness.  A terra cota pot -- now white and storing my stenciling brushes.
A tin pot turned white, storing even more stenciling items.
